Digital Bell Apollo III is a fully digital bell system that combines the authentic sound of traditional bells with the flexibility of modern digital technology.

From a single ringing bell to a fully digital ensemble of bells, from traditional chimes to elaborate carillon melodies: Digital Bell Apollo III offers an exceptionally wide range of possibilities in a single system.

The Digital Bell Apollo III does more than simply play back recorded bell sounds. Thanks to advanced polyphonic sound technology, up to 48 bell sounds can be played simultaneously. The individual character, harmonics and resonance of each bell are preserved in the process. As a result, both traditional ringing patterns and complex melodies sound rich, spacious and natural. The built-in library contains 108 authentic bell sounds. Combined with a musical range of 8 full octaves, a digital bell ensemble can be fully tailored to suit the building, the surroundings and the local bell-ringing tradition.

Bells have their own meaning, rhythm and tradition everywhere. That is why the Digital Bell Apollo III offers the freedom to create an unlimited number of ringing traditions. Angelus, hourly, half-hourly and quarter-hourly chimes, traditional ringing, funeral chimes, festive ringing or entirely customised ringing patterns can be easily created from a variety of bell sounds.

This allows each installation to be tailored to local customs and traditions, whilst the operation is fully automatic. Through comprehensive time and calendar programmes, bell-ringing traditions, chimes and melodies are automatically played at the correct time. Recurring events can be programmed once and then played daily, weekly, annually or according to specific calendar dates.

Digital Bell Apollo III is more than just a digital bell system. Thanks to its wide musical range and extensive sound library, the system can also function as a fully-fledged digital carillon.

The internal melody library can hold up to 65,000 melodies and can be further expanded via an SD card. This creates a virtually unlimited repertoire for daily use, liturgical occasions, commemorations, public holidays and special events.

In addition to bell sounds and carillon melodies, users can also add and play their own music, recordings and MP3 files. Furthermore, new carillon melodies can be played and recorded by the user, allowing the repertoire to be continually expanded.

For live performances, the Digital Bell Apollo III can be connected directly to a MIDI keyboard. This allows the digital bell ensemble to be played live, just like a real carillon.

The Digital Bell Apollo III is underpinned by advanced digital technology, yet for the end user, operation remains simple and straightforward.

Everyday functions, ringing traditions, chimes and melodies can be selected directly. Recurring events are pre-programmed and then carried out automatically at the desired time. Furthermore, thanks to remote control and management, the system can be operated without the need to be physically present at the device.
